Mushaboo - Whispip

Whispip is always asleep, or almost. He drifts more than he walks, slow and quiet, like fog over moss. His mushroom cap is thin and pale, like a faded thought, and it trembles ever so slightly when he breathes.

He naps in tree hollows, in baskets of fallen leaves, on the backs of larger Mushaboos who don’t mind carrying him. Sometimes he hums in his sleep — just a note or two — and nearby petals close, thinking night has come.

No one knows what he dreams of. But the ground where he’s slept always feels softer, and the air a little kinder.

He’s not lazy. He’s just… very busy dreaming.
